Dr. Lamar McWaine has 25 years of professional leadership experience in higher education having served in both in a university and community college setting support diverse student populations. Dr. McWaine has served a faculty in a community college setting at San Jacinto College and the University of Houston for many years including campus student activities, scholars academy programs, student life, and Dean Education, Equity and Strategic Initiatives. Dr. McWaine has served as the Vice President of Programs for the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education where he is an Emerald Life Member, as well as co-council chair for the Leadership and Mentoring Institute for the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education. He has also been a LifeBound Coach and consultant in supporting students in both in-person and virtual formats. Dr. McWaine has been a key member in supporting male students of color programming which includes the Men of Honor Program (San Jac), the Men of L.E.G.A.C.I. (UH-Downtown), and Men of Distinction (LSC-Montgomery).
