EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Simpson has more than 25 years in supporting education pathways for youth and adult learners. Dr. Simpson has served in both community colleges and universities in the areas of institutional research and effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, human development, community relations and K12 instructional learning.
She is a past president of the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel (TACUSPA) and an Editorial Board Member for the TACUSPA Journal. In addition, she has served on the Principals for Professional Practices Committee for the National Association of Colleges and Employers as well as Board Director for Professional Development for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers. She held the Chairman position for Employer Insights, the first for the Association.
Dr. Simpson has served as the Advisor for the Rotaract Club of Lamar University (Young Professional Rotarians 18 ---30 yrs of age) as well as the Rotaract Chair for both the Rotary District 5910 and Board Member for the Rotary Club of Beaumont having been member of the Beaumont Public Schools Foundation Board and Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Simpson's experience in higher education has included leading career and testing services, supporting first generation and first time in college students, participating as a data analytics representative the college for the Southern Association of College and Schools Accreditation Officer, graduate research and professional scholarly book publications, and course content and curriculum management.
