Dr. Parish has nearly twenty years of community and educational experience in student support. Dr. Parish has served in the areas of child protective services, school districts, public charter schools and both in the university and community college setting.  Dr. Parish is the Founder of Adella Counseling and Wellness, LLC which provides mental health, social, and emotional counseling support, professional and educational coaching. Dr. Parish has served in instruction at Southern New Hampshire University and San Jacinto College in preparing adult learners for collegiate and career success. Her experience includes college recruitment and admissions, academic advising, and career counseling. She has served in school districts in guiding students and families through dual credit early college high school as well as college counseling. 

Dr. Parish has presented research and leadership at conference national wide and was a Fellow for the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education.
