Dr. Bellard has twenty years of service in both universities and community college environments related to residential housing, recreational sports, student life, academic course content, curriculum development, online and synchronous learning environments, faculty mentoring and professional development.
Dr. Bellard's professional experience as Instructional Leadership Designer, Course Builder, and usage of Management Information Systems has provided him a wealth of experience in creating, implementing and teaching faculty how to maximize their efforts in using instructional technology to develop curriculum.
Dr. Bellard utilizes the ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Dr. Bellard's design philosophy is rooted in the Instructional technology theory and practice of using technology for education. Encompassing the design, development, use, management, and evaluation of technology in education, instructional technology can take many forms. All instructional technology shares one main purpose: to create engaging and effective learning experiences. instructional technology provides many benefits to the education process, including better access to information, more opportunities for collaboration, and better capabilities for meeting diverse learners’ needs.
